Looking for some good old fashioned winter warming entertainment! Look no further:

Directed by: Doug Clarke, Donna Buchanan and Karyn Gibson
Season: 7:30pm nightly, Wednesday to Friday, 8th – 18th June with three Matinee performances at 2pm Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th June and 4pm Sunday 12th June. No Saturday night performances.

Now into its 21st year, Riccarton Players annual showing of it’s “A Riccartonian Palace of Varieties” once again promises to deliver an exciting array of music, sketches, fun, frolics and mayhem of bygone eras - extra special because of its celebratory significance.

Taking its roots from the early 1900’s, this production reinforces the style of “Old Time Music Hall” and is eagerly anticipated, to see what twist we have given the show for this years showing. Riccarton Players prides itself that no two “ARPOV’s” are ever the same, because of the mix and available songs of the period.

Under the guidance of this trio of experienced “Arpovian” directors you’ll be taken on a two-hour journey down memory lane with the six sections of the show. “Night & Day”; “Rustic Adventures”; “On Land & Sea”; “Weddings:”; “Roaming the World” and “Misfits” and as each bracket suggests, songs from those various categories prevail.

All of this is combined with the obligatory sketches and other items selected to bring humour from the past - active audience participation is encouraged.

The cast of 30 will soon have you singing along to songs you’ll both know and love, tapping your feet to the dancing, and laughing along with the sketches and jokes!

We look forward to seeing you there!
