Maioha Productions in collaboration with Poly Fonk Productions is proud to present:

7 Soul Sistas of MatarikI

A fresh and exciting tour that honours all that Matariki encompasses, celebrating community & culture; whanau & respect; growth & change; action & new beginnings!

This concert tour offers a truly unique and intimate night of live music from a line-up of Aotearoa’s top female vocalists, featuring the legendary Betty-Anne Monga, Annie Crummer, Whirimako Black and Ria Hall. Matariki signals new growth, so this tour also features a new generation of Tai Tokerau female vocalists, including reggae artist Majic Paora, Lee Morunga fresh from a 10 year stint on the International Lion King show and our baby of Muriwhenua, Raninikura Waitai-Henare.

The concert tour will be a collaboration of new and familiar tunes from each artist’s repertoire, including contemporary takes on much loved signature tunes in tribute to artists throughout the ages.

The show will be accompanied by session musicians led by musical director, Kaitapu Monga of Poly Fonk Productions.

A percentage of VIP ticket sales will support Muriwhenua Kapahaka to travel to Hawkes Bay in February 2017 to represent Tai Tokerau at Te Matatini National Senior Kapahaka Competition.

Minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Courtesy van available.
