NZIF Ensemble led by Cordelia Black (Wgtn)

Imagine a magical place where poets, musicians and actors can meet, collaborate and make stuff up on the fly. A relaxed setting where you can have a drink at the end of a long festival night, commission a silly song or a bawdy haiku, participate in a singalong, or just trade puns.
Yes, let us take you there!

Songwriters from Song Sale, local performance poets and of course NZIF participants are invited to mingle and play at BATS, in an hour of rowdy multi-disciplinary improv. Music will be written on the spot or jammed out: words will be slung off the cuff or assembled using the magic of sticky notes.

Gig wrangler Cordelia is a past NZIF minion and newly minted WITster, a Song Sale participant and a published poet. This event is what happens when she puts these three interests together to form one glorious hot mess of improvisation.

The New Zealand Improv Festival serves up a smorgasbord of improvised theatre to Wellington, New Zealand, all performed by the country’s top companies and practitioners. With 20 shows in just five days, there's something for everyone - comedy, horror, music, poetry and more!
