Care Alliance

Why shouldn’t New Zealanders be able to legally access assisted suicide or euthanasia? There are many compelling answers to that question - including international research and heartbreaking personal testimony - but very few have been heard publicly in recent public discussion.

The Care Alliance, in association with Maxim Institute looks to bring some balance to the discussion with a public panel discussion held in the Dorothy Winstone Centre at Auckland Girl's Grammar on Thursday, 3 September.

With a panel of experts in fields like medicine/palliative care, disability rights, bioethics and cultural analysis, and ample time for audience questions, this event will clarify the case against assisted suicide: allowing plenty of space for the grey areas this topic throws up, and the wide range of views and sentiments there are on this issue.
