Join us for an intimate two course Refreshment Room dinner with Whirimako Black in The Red Room (downstairs at The Refreshment Room). Just five minutes from Titirangi Village.

We are indeed fortunate to have this beautiful soul sharing her warm presence and her smooth sophisticated waiata in our downstairs dining room. With the large wood fire, delicious food and superb tunes, this will surely be an evening to remember!

For just $79 you will enjoy a hearty, taste-laden and delicious two course dinner (main and dessert) with Whirimako's mesmerising blend of blues, jazz and subtle moods in this intimate setting. Dinner starts from 6pm - 6.30pm. Limited tickets available.

Whirimako Black is a New Zealand Māori singer/songwriter, recording artist and actress.

Her musical achievements include the release of five successful albums, and composing and singing the titles for the acclaimed Television New Zealand series, 'The New Zealand Wars', as well as composing with Hori Tait the initial title music for the Māori news programme, Te Karere. In 1991, she formed the female Māori band Tuahine Whakairo but left in 1993, to start a solo career.

Born in Whakatane, Whirimako is of Ngāti Tuhoe, Ngāti Tuwharetoa, Ngāti Ranginui, Kahungunu, Te Whakatohea, Te Whanau-a-Apanui, Te Arawa, and Ngāti Awa descent.

She was made a Member of the New Zealand Order of Merit in the 2006 New Year Honours.

She made her acting debut in the 2013 film White Lies and was nominated for the Asia Pacific Screen Award for Best Performance by an Actress.
