Page & Blackmore
Readers and Writers

We invite you to sit back and listen as the writers who populate your thoughts read, talk or converse. Ask questions, have your books signed and browse the Page & Blackmore bookstall.

The local newspaper is going digital, Campbell is gone, the younger generation gets its news from Facebook.

Where do we turn for reliable news information, as the funding model for traditional media crumbles, attention spans narrow and dumbing down is a fact of life? Who holds the powerful to account and what are the implications for democracy?

Join visiting writer and columnist Charlotte Grimshaw; actor, comedian and Radio NZ panellist Penny Ashton; television producer and media commentator Phil Wallington; and Nelson freelance journo and digital native Naomi Arnold.

Writer, satirist and commentator David Slack keeps order.

Join us at 10.30am for brunch for an extra $12.

Listen later to selected sessions broadcast on Fresh FM.
