WCS Workshop

West Coast Swing is a beautifully stylish dance, combining the fun factor of modern jive with the technique of Ballroom. West Coast Swing Wellington is bringing, down from Auckland to Wellington, highly-regarded instructor Tina Heynen to give a special trio of WCS workshops.

All levels of dance experience are welcomed.

Tina has placed 2nd in the 2008 Sea to Sky Novice Jack & Jill event and was a Jack & Jill finalist at the 2009 Swing Niagara. Tina and her partner Shanon won the professional freestyle category at the first NZ WCS Nationals. In 2014, she placed 1st, with Eric Grey, in the invitational Jack & Jill. She has been involved with team choreography for the swingFX team performances at the NZ Open. And has attended a number of the events in Australia.

This special workshop trio includes:

BASIC AND BEYOND: Starting with the basics then moving onto techniques that will make you look and feel amazing!

WCS LEGO: We've all played with Lego blocks! Just like Lego we'll connect moves in various, interesting and fun ways.

FOOTWORK FUN: How do you do those amazing footwork variations?! The secret... drill, drill, drill. We'll teach you a fun WCS line dance with lots of footwork variations that'll be drilled into your body. So when it comes to using them you won't even need to think about it - it'll just happen!

Get the most out of this opportunity and do all three for just $55!
BOOK NOW! All levels of experience welcome.

Take the opportunity to join Tina as part of a after-workshop group dinner held at Thai Chef's Restaurant (1 Blair Street, at 5:30pm). Register your place in advance so a table can be booked accordingly.
