Joanne Buckingham, from trash2treasure, presents a workshop for early childhood teachers on the multi-award winning project “Turning Trash into Treasure for Young Children”. Including science experiments using everyday waste materials, and creative ideas that centres can incorporate into the curriculum. These ideas inspire and enrich teaching practice. This professional development is about transforming rubbish into learning experiences for children, to stimulate their learning.

The cost of the workshop is $40 per centre. Each centre will receive a complimentary copy of ‘Turning Trash into Treasure for Young Children” by Adam Buckingham (RRP $30).

Come and collect a free ‘car’ courtesy of the Rodney District Council Environmental Education Fund (one per centre) valued at $80 following the workshop.

This offer is available only to early childhood centres within the former Rodney District. Please RSVP to reusethetrash@gmail.com as numbers are limited.
