As the New Horizons spacecraft glides by Pluto, join us for an evening of new discoveries.

Explore two of the dwarf planets in the Solar System: Ceres and Pluto, and find out what discoveries are being made about these two dwarf planets, and what these discoveries mean to us.

Ceres is the largest dwarf planet in the inner Solar System. What will we learn about the biggest object between Mars and Jupiter?

Now classified as a dwarf planet, Pluto is made of rock and ice, with ice caps and an atmosphere. With its many large moons, It’s an exciting place to explore.

Presented by Edwin Rod of the Wellington Astronomical Society.
