An exhibition with children in mind, 'Making Sense' features works from local and national artists that offer an opportunity to explore some of the body’s common senses and related themes: portraiture and identity, the physical construction of the body, and thinking and perception.

"Tricky Box 9 - You" is an interactive experiential art installation that has specially been created for this show by international, contemporary artists Lipika Sen & Prabhjyot Majithia whose Tricky Box series has been intriguing visitors at major art shows across New Zealand. In this exhibition, Lipika and Prabhjyot show along with works by renowned NZ artists like Robert Mc Leod and Reuben Paterson.

The exhibition will run from 30 May until 26 July and is expected to be a popular feature of the school holidays (3-20 July).

Also by the artists, Lipika & Prabhjyot is a Public Artwork that would excite kids of ages zero to hundred: The Firkee Wala - In My Heart Of Eternal Childhood, a kinetic sculpture that swooshes and spins with the wind at Puke Ariki Museum seafront, New Plymouth.
