Thriller Live, a spectacular concert production that celebrates the music of the world’s greatest entertainer, Michael Jackson and the legendary Jackson Five has played in London’s West End since 2009, and last year entered the record books as the 20th longest running musical in West End history.

Broadway and West End star and a former principal from this record-breaking show, MiG Ayesa will return to New Zealand to headline the cast on their national tour.

MiG – who recently starred as Rooster in the critically acclaimed stage production of Annie in Wellington and Auckland -- has a huge list of achievements as a stage and concert performer.

MiG shot to fame as a finalist in the hit reality TV series Rock Star: INXS – eventually finishing third in the global search for a new frontman for the rock band. Not long after MiG blew audiences away with his performance as Galileo Figaro in Queen’s We Will Rock You in London’s West End, followed by a box office-smashing season in New Zealand.

He was an original cast member of Handel's Messiah Rocks: a Joyful Noise. MiG started his professional career playing ‘Ritchie Valens’ in Buddy. He was then chosen to join the London cast including a Royal Variety Performance. He went on to star in many West End musicals including We Will Rock You, Rent and Thriller Live.

His Broadway credits include Burn The Floor and Rock of Ages. His Film credits include playing a Brooklyn Vampire in Queen of the Damned and a latex-covered serial killer in Subterano.

James Cundall, CEO of Lunchbox Theatrical Productions, producer of the Annie and The Sound of Music, said ‘We are delighted to have MiG joining the cast of Thriller Live for its New Zealand season. Thriller Live has become a phenomenon globally and we are excited to be introducing the show to New Zealand in February.”

A company of 45 international performers, musicians and crew will bring Thriller Live to life in this New Zealand premiere production.

Thriller Live is over two hours of non-stop hits from pop to rock, soul to disco in a show that pays homage to Michael Jackson’s legendary live performances and the magic of his 45-year musical history. Thriller Live features stunning choreography and Michael’s innovative dance moves executed with flair, precision and passion in a show that fans will never forget.

Thriller Live contains all of Jackson’s favourite songs including: I Want You Back, ABC, Can You Feel It, Off The Wall, The Way You Make Me Feel, Smooth Criminal, Beat It, Billie Jean, Dirty Diana, Bad, Rock With You, They Don’t care About Us, Dangerous, Heal The World, and Thriller plus many more!

The New Zealand season of Thriller Live is produced by the Ambassador Theatre Group, The Flying Music Company (?), BB Promotion and Lunchbox Theatrical Productions.
