Tom Scott's first play is based loosely on the life of his father. It centres on a cantankerous old man who retreats to his bedroom fortress amid a bomb site of newspapers, aircraft parts and candlewick bedspreads. From Irish boyhood to WW11 airman, he retraces his life of profane exploits and irreverent adventures.

'The audience was set up with moments of insane belly laughter, before being choked with grief. An emotional monologue, a night of big magic.' Mark Story review 2010.
