The different faces of stress, the impact it has and the solutions that will make the difference.

Stress is so prevalent in our lives it almost seems ‘normal’, trying to juggle work and/or study, finances, relationships, being a parent, ageing parents the list goes on.

Stress can be positive, keeping us alert and ready to avoid danger. It becomes negative when a person faces continuous challenges without relief or relaxation. The longer we experience sustained stress, the greater the possibility of it impacting negatively on our health; headaches, upset tummies, elevated blood pressure, fatigue and poor sleep. The more fatigued we are and the less sleep we get the more we tend to reach out for some easy fixes to get us through the day; alcohol, refined carbs and caffeine especially – except they actually make it worse.

43% of all adults suffer adverse health effects from stress
75% to 90% of all doctor’s office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints
Stress can play a part in problems such as headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, diabetes, skin conditions, asthma, arthritis, depression, and anxiety
The lifetime prevalence of an emotional disorder is more than 50%, often due to chronic, untreated stress reactions

The good news is that you can break the cycle and we have a range or extraordinary speakers to provide you with all the information you need to make the difference.

Over the course of the evening we will share with you:

The impact stress has upon different systems within the body
Sources of stress that you may not be aware of that are easy to remove or minimise
Creative and easy to implement solutions that will make a difference to your every day life
Enjoy a deeply relaxing guided meditation with Gloria Seaman
The evening is led by Naturopath Rosanne Sullivan with special guests, Glenn White and Gloria Seaman.
