An inspiring talk for today on Spirituality in a Material World.

Viewing life from a more spiritual perspective gives our life and all that we do much more meaning and helps us to keep things in perspective. It enables us to be back in charge rather than feeling out of control and increasingly anxious.

Many of us have become so busy, caught up in technology, governed by exhaustive timetables and ever increasing material “needs”. We are losing touch with ourselves, our values, spiritual needs, inner wisdom and higher purpose.

Having a job, career, business, family and commitments does not mean we can’t be growing spiritually.
We would in fact benefit greatly from approaching all of life in a more spiritual way.

What does this mean?

It does not necessarily mean following any particular religion, though many might do so. It does mean being more in touch with our higher self, our intuition, and allowing our inner wisdom to govern our actions. This does not need to be difficult. It is possible to be more at peace and content in the lives we already have. We do need to add the missing ingredients that nurture us spiritually. By separating this from our lives we are limiting our capabilities, potential and sense of fulfilment.

Being more spiritually aware is a vital part of 21st century living and our evolutionary progress. It is essential for our own happiness, our children and the future of the world.

An inspirational talk by Mananda Carrigan, a disciple of Mata Yogananda Mahasaya Dharma, with many years’ experience as an international teacher of Pure Meditation, Spiritual Knowledge and Progressive Counselling. For more information on the talk contact Mananda at mananda@riseup.net

All proceeds to the Self Realization Meditation Healing Centre Charitable Trust.

Limited parking available in carpark at rear of hall in Vincent Street plus ample parking in Rodney, Vincent and Queen Streets. Wheelchair access from Vincent Street Carpark.
