It's finally here Dunedin! Spread the word....

Friday the 20th March marks the exciting launch for the SCANZ Dunedin Branch! Come and help us celebrate!

It's Brain Awareness Week and we want to talk about our brains and booze. This event is not directed for the scientists, or the academics, but instead for YOU, the public! Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to come along and join in such an important conversation for Dunedin and Aotearoa as a whole!

Join us for the free launch at the Hutton Theatre, Otago Museum. Refreshments provided and cash bar.

6:30pm – Special Exhibition (You won't want to miss this!)
7:30pm – Panel (10 mins each), followed by an open discussion about the effects of alcohol on the brain.

Come and join our AMAZING guest panel:
Associate Professor Christine Jasoni
Associate Professor Jesse Bering
Dr. Ruth Napper
Dr. Paul Trotman

But please RSVP if you plan on attending (for catering and seating allocation)

Keep an eye on this page for sneak peaks at exhibits, artwork and our panel!

The Science Communicators Association of New Zealand (SCANZ) has a special interest in communicating science, encouraging discussion and networking opportunities.

This event is in collaboration with the Brain Health Research Centre, the Centre for Science Communication, the University of Otago and the Otago Museum.

If you have any questions or comments please contact Shanti Campbell (Dunedin Branch Coordinator) at camsa633@student.otago.ac.nz.
