Always wanted to belong to a choir? Here is your chance. This class is for people who have some experience with group singing. It will assist you to develop your vocal skills while singing in harmony while experiencing a variety of musical styles.

This course runs 7 - 9 PM on Monday evenings for seven weeks starting 16 February 2015, 11 May 2015, 27 July 2015 and 12 October 2015.

About the choir-master: Sarah is a singer who has been performing since a young age, initially in musical theatre and choral music. During her later school years, she was a member of Scat, a highly successful jazz choir with whom she toured throughout Asia and Australia. She has also sung in a competing barbershop quartet and played double bass and sang in many bands including the jazz orchestra.

Sarah teaches vocals, works with choirs and transcribes and arranges music. She plays regular gigs and continues to work on her original compositions. She has studied conducting, teaching and different vocal techniques and their applications in order to increase her versatility and enhance her teaching ability. Sarah is keen to share her love of music and to use the skills she has acquired to help others develop their singing.

We also run an Introduction to Singing course for those who would like to learn to sing. See our Music, Dance and Drama category on our website or search for this course on Eventfinder.
