Calling all harmony addicts!

Two special singing workshops for the Wellington community presented by the ARIA Award Winning vocal group from Australia, The Idea of North.

The first session (90 mins), 'Singin' A Cappella' is a general singing workshop for all ages and is open to all singers wishing to take their a cappella skills to the next level. You'll be led through a selection of vocal techniques designed to exercise larynx, ear and brain.

The second session (120 mins), 'PD Workshop for Teachers' is more specialised and aimed at music teachers wanting tips on coaching vocalists of all types to their full potential. This Professional Development session will focus on new and interesting vocal warm-ups, canons as an introduction to harmony and some more advanced vocal gymnastics.

Both sessions will involve learning excerpts and vocal exercises in harmony to take back to your vocal groups and choirs.

Aspiring altos add ample artistry amicably.
Budding basses and baritones bring bass lines brilliantly.
Sweet sopranos soar supersonically.
Triumphant tenors typically try top tones too trickily.

Bottom line: it's gonna be fun. Come.

You can buy a ticket to either session or a combo ticket for both. Entry will be General Admission. Door prices will be an extra $5 on each ticket. Both sessions will take place in 'Drama One' at Te Whaea.

Thanks to 'Community Music Junction' for all of their help in bringing this event to Wellington!
