Scene is a documentary performance that explores New Zealand's LGBT/Queer/Gay culture. We've interviewed people across the country; including lecturers, politicians, students, retired farmers and all walks of life. Hear accounts from New Zealand's early Gay Rights Liberation through to the contemporary young people's LGBT activism and support.

Using contemporary theatre making techniques at the forefront of the industry, this is an honest and forthright portrayal of one of modern society's most marginalised but powerful communities. Collected over the course of six months, three artists travelled throughout New Zealand to record accounts that come before you, word for word.

Interviews collected by Alayne Dick, Daniel Goodwin and Jess Green
Directed by Jess Green
