On National Poetry Day, they will also join their voices in poetry at the opening reception of their exhibition.

When Poetry Comes to Town continues the Wairarapa tradition of National Poetry Day activities across the region, this time starting at 12:01am on the morning of the day and finishing up around midnight of the Friday itself, with 8 events in all. Readings by published poets, a session of rhymes for children, poetry and birdsong for nature lovers, open mics, poetry at favorite cafes and bookstores -- they'll be something for everyone almost everywhere across the Wairarapa.
