‘Queen Charlotte Track Inc.’ the member based marketing organization for the
Queen Charlotte Track, is celebrating the launch of it’s new website by inviting families, walkers and cyclists to come and enjoy this scenic walk and ‘Great Ride’ right on our doorstep in the stunning Marlborough Sounds.
Come walk, cycle the track or kayak the Queen Charlotte Sound
on Sunday 11h October.

Walk/cycle options:
Lochmara Lodge to Anakiwa - 15km - 5 – 6 hour walk
Mistletoe Bay to Anakiwa - 13km - 3 to 4 hour walk
Anakiwa to Davies Bay return - 6km - 1.5 hour walk

Many members of the Queen Charlotte Track will kindly be offering their products and services free of charge or heavily discounted on the day.
The Queen Charlotte Track Landowners Co-operative (QCTLC) has also waived the private land access pass normally required to walk this section of the Queen Charlotte Track, to help celebrate the new website and support the fun day.

Aaron, owner and guide, will be waiting at Anakiwa with family friendly kayaks, life jackets and gear. Kayaks will be available for 30 minutes per visitor.

A shuttle bus service will be available between Blenheim and Picton.
Departs Seymour Square, Blenheim at 7.45am and return trip departs from Picton 4.45pm.
Advance bookings are necessary.

Refreshments:
Lochmara Café & Restaurant will be open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and all day snacks (cash/eftpos).
The Mistletoe Bay Shop & Café will be open for coffees ($1 discounts)/ice-creams/sausage sizzle/bacon sandwiches/muffins/soft drinks (cash or eftpos).
A Sausage Sizzle will be provided by the local community of Tirimoana and Anakiwa at the Anakiwa car park (cash only).
The Green Caravan Café at Anakiwa will be open for coffees/ice-creams/ soft drinks (cash only).

Bad weather:
In case of rain, Outward Bound have kindly offered their dining hall for people to shelter, whilst waiting for their water taxi.
