This talk series is your opportunity to find out more about public art and have your say.

There are always a lot of questions when it comes to public art and a public art policy. Define public art. Who pays? What does a policy do? What will it add to our city? What is known is that cities that have an active public art commissioning and urban enhancement programme experience social, economic and cultural benefits.
“Public art adds meaning and uniqueness. It humanizes the built environment and invigorates public spaces” – America’s Public Art Network Council.

Listen to great conversations between artists, commissioners, tangata whenua, urban designers, strategists, historians and curators from here and around the country.

Everyone is welcome, entry by koha. Drop in on a talk, or come along for the day. No reservations.
