Phil Drane is an Anglo-Kiwi who hails originally from Lancashire, England and now lives in the beautiful Coromandel in New Zealand.

Described by British folk legend Dave Goulder as "among the very best of English finger-style guitarists" and by the New Zealand author of 'Songs of a New Country" the late Neil Colquhoun as "a wonderful interpreter of his own English folk-heritage music", Phil regularly performs throughout the UK and occasionally in NZ.

His concerts are infused with folk, blues and jazz influences and are uniquely creative and entertaining.

He has a natural ability to establish a warm rapport with his audiences who can expect beautifully-arranged songs, expressive vocals and superb guitar work spun together with a generous dose of Northern English chat and witty banter. Not to be missed.

Note: Phil has the distinction of having all of his albums catalogued and archived in New Zealand's Alexander Turnbull Cultural Library and being the only artist listed under the category "Ethnic English Folk-Heritage Music". His music is thus available to all New Zealand schools and colleges as course materials.
