Open City is being held on Saturday 29 August, a feature of Dunedin's Heritage Festival 2015 celebrations, Open City will see up to 60 of Dunedin's inspiring businesses and iconic buildings throw open their doors throughout the day with an open invitation being offered to the public to explore, discover and learn more about the unique nature of Dunedin’s built heritage.

A number of participating buildings will be holding special events and tours unique to Open City, others are open and taking part to celebrate the city’s 150th anniversary and their place in its heritage. Buildings include the Anatomy Museum, the Garrison Hall, Dunedin Athenaeum and Mechanics' Institute or travel to and from Quarantine Island. There are many many more to choose from, this promises to be a memorable event.
