Rotorua Museum and The Rogue Stage are excited to announce the return of Music at the Museum.

On Thursday 6 August 2015 there is a fantastic line up of performers to entertain from 6pm until 9pm.

The evening will kick off in the Museum Café at 6pm with Emmiline Henry and Jason Hamon, winners of the New Zealand Music Month 2015 Rotorua You Tube Challenge.
Guests will then enjoy music by Fraser Ross, accompanied by Jeremy Desmond on guitar.

At 7pm Albi and the Wolves will get your toes tapping in the stunning acoustics of the Museum foyer, with Albi's smooth vocals and music that draws inspiration from a wide variety of genres.

Talented duo Brendan and Alison Turner will then take to the stage singing original folk harmonies before the intermission at 8pm.

Well respected folk and country band The Bads, with special guest Mr Dave Khan, wrap up the night with a 45 minute set sure to get you on your feet!

Tickets are $20 per person or $10 for students and tickets are on sale from Rotorua Museum reception, Musicworks (1141 Pukuatua Street), or through The Rogue Stage at theroguestage@gmail.com

The Museum Café is licensed and will be open for refreshments until the end of the intermission so enjoy tasty hot food, beverages and coffees. You might like to pre-order platters to have between 6pm – 7pm.

More about the performers:
Albi and the Wolves bring old school folk back into the modern age with dynamic original tunes and lively, uplifting arrangements of popular songs from the past and present. Members Chris Dent, Pascal Roggen, Matt Owens and Michael Young infuse country elements, traces of soul, rock and pop to give fantastic live performances.
Brendan and Alison Turner play a mix of Americana folk, country and blues with sweet bluegrass harmonies. They were both former members of Bond Street Bridge and The Bitter Years.

The Bads are a dynamic four-piece band including well respected musicians Brett Adams, Dianne Swann, Brendan Turner and David Khan. Between them they have a rich individual and combined musical history. The Bads opened WOMAD this year as Tim Finn and The Bads and have toured extensively. They have also opened for a range of well-known international acts including Green Day, Oasis and Radiohead.
