About
Meditation classes offer practical solutions to everyday problems from the teachings of Buddha. The classes are usually organised in short series. However, you do not have to start at the beginning of a series as each class stands alone.

Each class includes two guided meditations, teachings and discussion.

These classes are suitable for beginners and you can start any week. There is no need to book. Everyone is welcome.

If you are coming for the first time, a class assistant will greet you and make sure that you are comfortable. The suggested donation is $12 per class or an affordable contribution.

Classes Series
During the first half of 2015, classes will be based on the book "Eight Steps to Happiness" by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso.

This text sets out clear methods for dealing constructively with life's difficulties, for improving our relationships, and for bringing greater patience, empathy and compassion into our daily life. The classes will cover some of the key teachings from the book, with the aim of helping us find greater happiness and meaning in our busy, modern lives.

The mind that cherishes others is the supreme good heart. Keeping such a good heart will result only in happiness for ourself and all those around us (from Eight Steps to Happiness by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso).

The programme is divided into three sections:
1. Life should be about more than just coping: Practical methods and meditations to help us develop our loving kindness towards others.
2. Bringing harmony into our relationships: Developing ways in which we can contribute to making our relationships kinder, more loving and harmonious.
3. Realising our potential: How we can grow in wisdom and compassion so that we establish a firm foundation for lasting happiness and peace.
