Jennifer Moss Music presents...Manawatu African Drumming:Asɛmbisa

Asɛmbisa means 'question' in the Twi language of Ghana.
Come along to further your learning and djembe fitness!
Playing with others lifts your playing and is the very best way to maintain & improve your skills.

Asɛmbisa class: the next step... develop your dexterity, djembe fitness, musical concepts and relationships

***You need to have attended 2 cycles of drumming or have previous hand drumming experience***

What happens in the Asɛmbisa class?

-having fun
-developing clearly differentiated tones and slaps
-playing at faster tempos (becoming djembe fit!)
-feeling and playing different rhythmic ideas at the same time
-understanding the relationships between bell, dunun and djembe and experiencing playing them
-appreciating West African music, including traditional songs
-playing more advanced personal soloing
-exploring more advanced musical concepts
-preparing full arrangements for performance

Please make contact so I can reserve a drum especially for you.
