There is something about Welsh comedians that New Zealand just can’t get enough of.
Comedians like Rhod Gilbert, Elis James and Mark Watson have all felt the love at the NZ International Comedy Festival. But it is also true that many Welsh comedians have a similar passion for New Zealand audiences.

Lloyd Langford has had New Zealand in his sights for almost 10 years and, finally, in 2015 he realizes that dream.

Lloyd had his first big break in 2004 when he won the inaugural Chortle.co.uk Student Comic of the Year Award. Since then he has written for television and radio shows including Never Mind The Buzzcocks (BBC2), Live at The Apollo (BBC1), Ask Rhod Gilbert (BBC1) and The Now Show (BBC Radio 4). He has also worked for a diverse range of comedians including Simon Amstell, Frankie Boyle, Frank Skinner and David Walliams.

Lloyd is perhaps most well known for his regular role on Ask Rhod Gilbert, (BBC) but has also appeared on Don’t Sit in the Front Row (Sky), Dave’s One Night Stand, (Dave), and Russell Howard’s Good News (BBC3). Lloyd has appeared as a guest on Never Mind the Buzzcocks and QI (BBC). He also regularly features on The Unbelievable Truth, hosted by David Mitchell on BBC Radio 4.
