Take a guided walk from Anawhata Road to Piha to see where kauri dieback was first found. Stay for a talk on the work being done to protect the kauri forests of the Waitakere Ranges.

The walk will follow the Pole Line track to the Maungaroa Ridge Track, then the Maungaroa Lookout track to come out at Glenesk Road.

Bring lunch to have in the Sir Algernon Thomas Green from 11.30am and the Waitakere Ranges Local Board will provide refreshments.

Meet at the Glen Eden Train Station to catch a shuttle bus to Piha and back.
