Auckland’s own Jubilation A Cappella Gospel Choir is a virtual gospel supergroup featuring the well-loved voices of R&B legend Rick Bryant and entertainer extraordinaire Jackie Clarke.

Jubilation celebrates the beauty in diversity--its singers, its repertoire, its gigs. Boat builders, political scientists, actors, writers, teachers, radio producers & voice artists unite in the pure love of singing.
An eclectic mix of songs from the 1800’s to the present day ensures that every member of the audience remains enthralled.

They’ve sung at the openings of the Auckland Art Gallery, Auckland’s Q Theatre and the Wynyard Quarter (as a flash-mob choir to startled passengers on the vintage trams); and delighted audiences of 60 at Arrowtown’s tiny Old Cheese Factory up to to 10,000 on WOMAD’s main stage.

Festival performances include the Wellington and Tauranga Jazz Festivals and Wanaka’s Festival of Colour. In 2010, Jubilation released their first CD (Shout and Never Get Tired), and their 2011 Christchurch Festival performance sold out a month in advance.

At the Civic’s “Bare” fundraiser finale they magically recreated their stunning backing vocals on Don McGlashan’s epic ‘Bathe in the River’ with Hollie Smith.

In 2013, they sold out two shows at Q Theatre’s Loft and they returned this year to the larger Rangatira Theatre for a hugely successful show.

This will be a welcome return to the Island for the group; and they look forward to another enthusiastic Waiheke audience.

Tickets ($20 prepaid or concession | $25 at the door) may be purchased online at www.ArtworksTheatre.org.nz.

Doors and café open at 7:30pm.
