Pic's Granary Gigs

The Granary Festival Café is home to an exciting line-up of local and visiting musicians, playing free for your listening pleasure.

Come early and enjoy a fine local beverage and a snack from Harrys, before heading to the Festival Mainstage or next door to the Nelson Musical Theatre. Or, of course, you can simply enjoy some free entertainment, courtesy of the Nelson Arts Festival and Pic’s.

Then get your dancing shoes on and come back later for some more great music. All free.

Make sure you arrive in good time as free events have been known to fill up quickly.

Humankindness is easy to enjoy, hard to pin down. Their original rock and soul music bristles with adventure.

Playing the songs of slide guitarist Steve Mitchell, the band’s reputation for powerful, inventive live shows has grown steadily since their hometown debut at this year’s Nelson Jazz & Blues Festival. Humankindness blends rock, blues, funk and soul into a distinctive music of powerhouse rhythms, twin guitar jams and acoustic ballads.
