Page & Blackmore
Readers and Writers

We invite you to sit back and listen as the writers who populate your thoughts read, talk or converse. Ask questions, have your books signed and browse the Page & Blackmore bookstall.

Teddy One-Eye has a rough-and-tumble life. He is dragged around, chewed on, loses an eye and is often left outside at night; but his special powers lead him to some curious situations and exciting adventures.

In a story told by his own teddy bear, Gavin Bishop picks up on the story of his childhood from Piano Rock and expands it into a fascinating social history of growing up in New Zealand during the last century.

Gavin will be interviewed by one of his biggest fans, Will Roddick from Nelson Intermediate School.

Suitable for children from 7 to 97.

Hear More for Less with the Readers & Writers’ Concession Card. Attend up to 12 sessions for $90 full price, $60 seniors (plus TicketDirect service fees). Excludes the Thinking Brunches. Concession cards can only be purchased at Nelson’s Theatre Royal.

Come early to order coffee - when the talking begins the machine is turned off!

Listen later to selected sessions broadcast on Fresh FM.
