Kaipara Coast

Exhibition 2015 Now open
Kaipara Coast Sculpture Gardens features 51new works by established and emerging New Zealand artists who are passionate about expressing their ideas through sculpture.
The new sculptures relate, reflect and explore the natural beauty of this region of Auckland, the Kaipara Harbour, the flora and fauna, threats to the environment, the history of the land, colonisation and socio-political issues relating to this area, New Zealand and where our country fits in the global arena.
The trail links 51 varied sculptures by emerging New Zealand artists and is a visual treat which take about 1 hour to leisurely walk.

Artists included are :-Tim Elliot, Kendra Hanley, Artists from Mt Tabor Trust, Thomas Hogan, Kevin Widowson, Sandy Sturgess, Ian Sangster & Rachael Clarke, Karen Hart, Audrey Boyle, Katherine Batchelor, Bev Goodwin, Kate Millington, Sen McGlinn, Paul Brunton, Faith Tavernor, Jill Guillemin, Anna Scott – Davidson, Jin Ling, Ainsley O'Connell, Donna and Colwyn Hanson, Cathy Head, Paul Andrew, Sally Fagence, John Mulholland, Agnes Ward, Claudia Recorean, Darryl Fagence, Greg Piper, Tim Elliot & Kate Millington, Joachim Kreitmair, Lucy Bucknall, John Mulholland, Blair Fraser, Alysn Midgelow-Marsden , Sen McGlinn, Mason Vincent, Ross Forbes, Cherrie James, Zoe Nash, Fiona Henderson, Dawn Flower, Ian Fewtrell, Jan Gosling, Boud van den Bemd, Diane Atkinson, Clovis Viscoe, Brendan Mc Gorry, Mia Hamilton, Kiya Nancarrow and Andrew Denton.

Opened for this exhibition is the new Don's Conservation Track which meanders down into regenerating bush featuring mature Puriri and a winding stream. Signage details aspects of conservation and threats to the environment. Not suitable for push chairs or wheel chairs. A reasonable standard of fitness is required as this track has a moderate gradient. Add 30 minutes to your visit to walk the extra trail.
This exhibition will be on show until November 2015 so you have a different experience with the changing seasons each time you visit.
All the sculptures are available for purchase.
Open 7 days 9am to 5pm. Last admissions 4pm to allow sufficient time to view sculptures (closed Christmas Day and Anzac Morning)
Entry admission tickets can be purchased from the venue $10 Adult, $5 Children (5–13 years), under 5’s free and $25 Family
