The Veena is an Indian stringed instrument. It is the most ancient of all instruments dating back to the Vedic period. This instrument allows all the delicate quartertones and the subtle nuances to be played with accuracy.

Ramnath Iyer & Gopinath Iyer, famously known as Iyer Brothers, are masters of this instrument and have made a name for themselves in the world of Carnatic music. Though they live in Melbourne, Australia, they have traveled widely and performed in several major festivals and organisations in India and other countries.

They will be supported by percussion masters from India, Chidambaram Balashankar on Mridangam (Indian double headed drum) and Adambakkam Shankar on Ghatam (Clay pot).

This instrument ensemble is organised by Rasikas NZ and Sangeetha Bharathi.
