Down to Earth Wine Celebration Event:

Geology, Soils and Terroir of the Cromwell Basin with Artisan Winegrowers of Central Otago – includes Presentation, Wine-tastings, Vineyard visits and Progressive lunch.

Our small group of artisan winegrowers, (comprising Ellero, Georgetown Vineyard, Lindis River, Lowburn Ferry, Maori Point Vineyard and TOSQ), would like to host you for the day, to learn about the landforms, geology, soils and terroir of the Cromwell Basin, and introduce you to our wines and vineyards.

The Tour will commence at the Lake Dunstan Yacht Club with a Presentation and wine-tasting of six individual pinot noirs from around the region. It will explain the local landforms and how these shape the terroir and find expression in the wines.

We will then take you on a tour of vineyards and local sites of interest, interspersed with a delicious Progressive lunch, held in part at Jean & Roger’s historic Strathburn Farm, before returning to the Lake Dustan Yacht Club for the completion of the Tour.

Please bring sturdy outdoor footwear for vineyard walks, and suitable outdoor clothing for ‘whatever the weather’!

Address: Lake Dustan Boat Club, McNulty Inlet, Lake Dustan, Cromwell

Price: $70.00 per person (Price includes Presentation, vineyard visits, wine-tastings and Progressive lunch)

Bookings essential. Please book via the official Down to Earth Wine Celebration website
