The first of two special double feature shows - one ticket price, two solo performers. Melbourne's Rik Brown takes the stage with Solo Brown; then Wellington award winning comedian Jonny Potts brings the festival Yes! I am Riverman!

Solo Brown

Rik Brown has performed all over the world with some of the greatest improvisors who ever improvised the improvisations. Can he survive without them? Come and see one man take to the stage, alone in his own creative wonderland.

Rik Brown has been improvising for 20 years. He performs endlessly with Impro Melbourne and is a member of Spark who have the enjoyed success with their improvised shows throughout Australia and New Zealand. He has performed all over the world with some of the greatest improvisors who ever improvised the improvisations. Can he survive without them? What will happen to his mind if its left to its own devices? It has been a longtime goal of his to find out! Come and see one man take to the stage, alone in his own creative wonderland.

I am Riverman! I am Riverman! Come to Whanganui, and see the mighty Whanganui River, 'the Rhine of Maoriland'! I am Riverman! Questions? I will answer them! Very interesting things! Come to Whanganui, see the Durie Hill Tower, Virginia Lake, Kowhai Park and Majestic Square! I am Riverman!

Jonny's show 'Loose' won Best Stand-up Comedy and Best Writing at the 2015 NZ Fringe Festival Awards. He is the host of the podcasts The Year of Reading Massively and The Witching Hours. Among his stage roles are Friar Lawrence, Mark Antony, and Deputy Prime Minister Brian Talboys in The Bacchanals' award-winning production of Dean Parker's 'Slouching Toward Bethlehem'.
