Pic's Granary Gigs

The Granary Festival Café is home to an exciting line-up of local and visiting musicians, playing free for your listening pleasure.

Come early and enjoy a fine local beverage and a snack from Harrys, before heading to the Festival Mainstage or next door to the Nelson Musical Theatre. Or, of course, you can simply enjoy some free entertainment, courtesy of the Nelson Arts Festival and Pic’s.

Then get your dancing shoes on and come back later for some more great music. All free.

Make sure you arrive in good time as free events have been known to fill up quickly.

Gypsy jazz done to perfection with verve, skill and an obvious pleasure that’s irresistible to jazz and non-jazz listeners alike.

Django Schmango’s roots are firmly in the music made famous by Django Reinhardt and Stephan Grappelli, with a steady pulse of rhythm guitar and an unmistakable swing that delights audiences of all musical sensibilities. Get your swing on for a crossfire of stunning solos, breathtaking rhythms and constant invention, melded with a gypsy sense of entertainment.
