Mapping the World through Time
Speaker: Julie Sweetkind-Singer, Assistant Director of Geospatial, Cartographic and Scientific Data & Services, Stanford University Libraries
Location: Tiakiwai (lower ground floor), National Library of New Zealand, Wellington, Aitken Street entrance.

For hundreds of years humans have mapped the world in which they live bringing with them their ideas of place and what is important to display. This talk will focus on world maps across time and cultures with examples ranging from medieval T/O maps to cartograms.
