Take the family along to Crankworx Rotorua and check out the Kidsworx zone, designed especially to get children and families involved and connected with the Crankworx festival, not just as spectators but as participants.

Kids will have the chance to try the same pump track that will be used by the pros, and can meet the Crankworx legends in the outdoor lounge.

For those kids who aren’t able to bring bikes with them, there will be bikes available to borrow, and all kids will be able to walk away with their very own personalised Kidsworx number plate, stickers and lots of bike bling to ‘pimp their rides’ - either at the festival or when they get home.

Families will be well-catered for at the Kidsworx zone with VIP parking spots for kids’ bikes when they’re not being used and a Kidsworx passport for children to collect all the signatures they please, along with a scavenger hunt to ensure they get the most out of the Crankworx village.

All Kidsworx activities are available as part of ticketed entry to the Crankworx festival.

Pimp My Ride
Bring your bike to the Kidsworx marquee and customise your ride. We have number plates, stickers and loads of bike bling to pimp your ride. When you finish pimpin’ your rig, park it up in the Kidsworx VIP bike rack for everyone to admire. If you can’t bring your bike along, collect all the goodies to get the job done when you get home.

Kidsworx Tamariki track
Just for kids, the Tamariki track winds around the perimeter of the Kidszone. With berms and rollers this track is open throughout Crankworx for kids to get their flow on. Bring your own bike, or have a go on one of the demo bikes. With cool but safe seesaws and skinnies, kids can practice their skills and experience the thrill of learning some new ones.

Tiki Tour Scavenger Hunt
Grab a biking buddy and explore the Crankworx venue hunting for clues at specific locations. With so much to see at Crankworx this is a great way to not miss a thing. With clues sending you on an adventure around the Crankworx village, you’ll be ready to be a tour guide when you finish. Bring your completed Tiki tour card to the Kidsworx Marquee to get your Kidsworx passport sticker.

Hipster Mini Downhill (DH)
Be a part of the action and take centre stage on Skyline’s most popular trail. Kids up to age 12 are invited to drop in to the chiselled berms and flow of this enduro style DH run, finishing in the heart of the action. Hipster is long enough to be a true test of both skill and endurance. Mini-shredders will need to be accompanied by a parent for this participatory fun event. Spaces are limited, you will need to pre-register.

Pump Track Sessions and Pump Track Challenge
Not just any pump track, but THE pump track. The bumps, berms and rollers of the Crankworx pump track await mini-shredders for these exciting practice sessions and competition. Age specific practice sessions will be available for every kid to have a go. The action will heat up during the head to head competition when the winner of each round will advance to the next until the final victor earns the title of Kidsworx Pump Track Champion. Registration is required for the competition.

Kidsworx - Meet the Pros
Hang out under the Redwood trees in the Kidsworx outdoor lounge and meet the legends of Crankworx. Hear their stories, ask questions and get those pimpin’ number plates signed. Going on throughout Crankworx, check the Kidsworx marque for who is droppin’ in and when.
