Biography
Lixin Zhang is 13 years old and attends Burnside High School where he is in the Specialist Music Programme, playing both piano and violin.

He began piano at the age of four with Neville Baird and later also studied with Professor Michael Endres on a scholarship from the Pettman Academy for four years. During this time he was offered a full scholarship to study in London with Michael Endres’s former teacher, the legendary Peter Feuchtwanger, who taught and coached many of the world’s leading pianists. The Scholarship will be held until Lixin is ready. Last year in 2014, Lixin studied with one of the country’s best-known pianists, Richard Mapp.

Away from the piano, Lixin enjoys chess, swimming, martial arts, maths, tennis and golf.
