Going into business for yourself is an exciting prospect, although it is also a time to carefully consider what lies ahead and to plan accordingly.

The Success Test

Before going too far with your new business, it’s important you firstly satisfy yourself that your idea will make the money you need. Completing the Success Test before starting the planning process will help you determine the suitability of your business idea before getting too involved in the details. In this workshop you’ll work on:

- Confirming your own goals
- Evaluating the potential of your idea
- Determining sales performance
- Estimating revenue, expenses, profit and your income

The test is not a magic formula that will ensure success. It’s a guide that helps you determine the likelihood of generating the income you desire from the business.

Once you’ve completed the Success Test you’ll be able to evaluate the most critical areas of your new venture and where more thinking is required. It’ll either confirm you’re on the right track and ready to do detailed planning, or help you realise that the idea isn’t going to fulfil your goals.

If you’re idea looks viable (and we’ll do our best to help you get there), then you’re ready for the next four stages of the Boot Camp which cover all the essential elements of your business plan. Your new business journey can begin!
