Described by Kathryn Ryan on National Radio as a ‘love letter to honey, bees and beekeepers’, Manuka: the Biography of an Extraordinary Honey was a finalist in the 2015 Royal Society of New Zealand Science Book Prize.

Bee-keeping author Cliff Van Eaton discusses serendipity, science and the extraordinary fact that bees can cook with bee-keeping poet Emily Dobson, who won the Adam Prize and Glenn Schaeffer Award for her debut poetry collection A Box of Bees. Cliff has kept bees for over 30 years, and Emily is from the Berry family of beekeepers, known to us as Arataki Honey.
