This course is held on Wednesday evenings 7 - 9pm for six weeks starting 6 May 2015.

Tutor: Chris Lovegrove

Learn the features, commands and techniques for creating, editing and printing drawings with the latest version of AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT - one of the most powerful and popular CAD tools. Learn to use AutoCAD's drawing and editing tools, and how to set-up your own template, create layers, borders and attributes.

Previous Microsoft Windows and MACOS computer experience a definite advantage. Users should have a working knowledge of drafting, design, engineering or architectural principles. Explore all the features necessary to create 2D process and production drawings. You will also discover the one thing that sets AutoCAD apart from other software programmes - its unique Command line.

The aim of the course is to construct drawings using AutoCAD. What the tutor expects students to learn from attending this course is:
- to operate AutoCAD software as an electronic drawing board using 2D features of AutoCAd commands
- to demonstrate autoCAD mode settings, drawing aids and features
- to identify and solve common geometric construction problems
- to produce scaled 2D drawings complete with annotations and dimensions
- to manage directories and backups

Our Mission: To provide quality adult and life long learning opportunities which empower individuals in their personal lives and as members of society.
