An introduction to how we’re meant to move! Learn fundamental human movement skills and how to add environmental complexity into your training - improve your efficiently, get in shape, get outside, and love movement again. This introductory workshop is based on the MovNat system - a physical education & fitness system encompassing the full range of natural human movement.

The workshop will cover:
-An introduction to movement skills: likely balance and jumping
-A workout using the surrounding environment, and how you can structure similar workouts on your own

Max is a MovNat Level 2 Certified Trainer and owner of Movement Unleashed which teaches parkour and ancestral fitness in Wellington. He writes about ancestral fitness, obstacle racing, and parkour at his blog – www.obstaclemethod.movementunleashed.com

Where do we meet?
Please meet in the middle of Frank Kitts Park, under the ship mast.

What level of fitness is required?
The exercises will be scaled to match your level of fitness or age.

Will my condition/injury be ok to participate with?
Please contact us, see FAQ below for contact details, if you have any injuries or conditions which may be of concern.

What should I bring?
Please bring:
-Appropriate clothes you don't mind getting dirty and sweating in
-Consider bringing a torch such as a head-torch, as the workshop will be in the evening

What happens in the case of bad weather?
The workshop will still be on if it's mildly raining or cold - this is an obstacle workshop and the natural conditions are just another obstacle to overcome. But in the case of severe bad weather, the workshop may be rescheduled or cancelled. We will contact you if this is the case.

What are my transport/parking options?
There are paid carparks and carpark buildings located around Frank Kitts Park.
The train station is further down the waterfront, and multiple bus stops are nearby.
