Doug the Digger
Mr Mac has been sharing his inspiring and educational message with kids and adults alike and you can enjoy the Doug the Digger experience at the Summer Show. You only have to look at a busy sandpit to see that children really relate to machinery, the challenge of completing a project and pride in maintaining a high standard of work. Doug shares his passion for this while also demonstrating safety with machinery.

The Whangarei Spinners & Weavers Club will demonstrate their skills in the creation of woolen garments. Alpaca fleeces will be on display also. The spinners will even attempt to finish a complete garment from wool shorn at the Show.

This year the spinners and weavers will also be giving live commentary while they are conducting demonstrations of their skills and provide interesting information about the fleeces they are using and its qualities.
