After a very successful inaugural event in 2013, the Whangarei Fritter Festival is back on Saturday 29 March 2014!

Come and enjoy a relaxed day with great music and a feast of fine wines and gourmet fritters from Whangarei and the region's finest local restaurants and wineries. Featuring outstanding sounds from Kora, one of New Zealand’s most powerful live bands, Ladi6, dDub, Kurfew and Juice on the Loose. MC'd by Northland Comedian and Kiwi Faves host Aaron Beard.

Soak up the music while you sample the wine and food of our district and have fun with plenty of great family entertainment including the return of the giant water slide, bouncy castle for the kids and other activities.

The top restaurants and cafes will also battle it out for the annual Best Fritter Trophy. Absolute Caterers took out the inaugural award with their Kingfish Fritter last year so everyone will be gunning for the top prize this time.

You have your say too and last year Top Sail won the New World People's Choice Award for the best fritter, so let's see who will take it out in 2014!

Brought to you by Venues and Events Whangarei, the Fritter Festival runs from 11am-7pm on Saturday 29 March 2014 at Toll Stadium.

Book your tickets in advance and save!
Earlybird tickets available until 28 February for adults and groups, discounted general price until 28 March, event day gate sale prices 29 March.
All ticket prices are inclusive of booking fees. Note: The 2013 festival prices were exclusive of the booking fee, so you paid this on top of the ticket price.
Tickets can also be purchased from the Forum North Box Office.

Bus Passes
For only $15 let someone else take care of getting you to the festival. Buses leave from the following locations and times.
