There’s more than golf at Wairakei International Golf Course’s “front nine”. Come and enjoy a leisurely walk around the course, which in recent years has been developed into a stunning wildlife sanctuary. This 180ha property is now home to native birds and serves as a Kiwi crèche thanks to its two metre high and 5km long pest-proof fence. Stand among more than 30,000 native and exotic trees in this unique conservation area.
