A Ceilidh dance called by Pat Smith and Ned Clamp from Wales, en route to perform at the Auckland Folk Festival. they are lively musicians and great callers, well known on the folk scene in Wales and Britain. With local backing, the lineup is a six piece, Pat Smith on concertina, and calling, Ned Clamp on guitar and harmonica, Mary Barr on guitar, Adam Smith on bass guitar, Robyn Tucker on bodhran, and we are also pleased to announce Julie Pescud on fiddle. this will be a great combination with a full sound.

Sometimes called a Barn Dance, no experience is necessary to join in and dance! Great fun.

Proceeds go toward renovations.

BYO, (Waikino Tavern nearby, 150 metres) tea and coffee available.

The Ceilidh is being held as a celebration of the new swing bridge spanning the Ohinemuri River opposite the hall. The bridge crosses to connect to the Hauraki Rail Trail, a walking and cycling track through the spectacular Karangahake gorge and environs, so you could make a weekend of it.

Doors open at 7.30, dancing from 8. Tickets $20. for bookings contact 0210551740, brianhabberfield@ gmail.com
