The multi-talented Tom Pierard, will talk about his career as a Cellist and musician. Tom’s talk will include a combination of different aspects, including what led him to become a musician, his training and practice, and the many highlights and different things he has done over his career. Part of the talk will also be an interactive discussion, and will also include impromptu performances on the cello.
Everyone is welcome. Attendance is free.

Coming from a large family of musicians, Tom Pierard began playing a cello aged eight. He has taught at Auckland University, broadcasts regularly with Concert FM as a National Recording Artist, has played full-time with the Auckland Philharmonia and currently works as a free-lance teacher and performer, playing concertos, recitals and chamber music throughout France and New Zealand.

This talk is part of a Tea and Topics series of talks held at the East Coast Bays library every third Wednesday of the month.
