Marlborough Repertory are proud to present The Motor Camp
By Dave Armstrong & based on a story by Danny Mulheron.

Ah, the classis Kiwi camping trip. Remember those holidays where sunnies, mossie bites and sun block ruled.

Frank, Jude and their 15 year old daughter Holly arrive at a “charming” campground to find their caravan parked within spitting distance of another family –Mike, Dawn and 16 year old Jarod. The families could not be more dissimilar: Jude and Frank are academics, while Mike and Dawn are happy-go-lucky small business owners with a taste for fishing and provocatively-named cocktails.
Sparks fly almost immediately during this hilarious holiday from hell. This play has been described as ‘funny, fraught, raucous, politically incorrect and rude,’ and we will all recognize the characters as people we know. The language and tone of the play could be described as “coarse”, but don’t think “crude”; think “gritty” Kiwi humour. A comedy of sizzling summer shenanigans!
