The Great Factory Farming Debate
Political parties are talking a lot about factory farming, but which ones will actually take action? Join us for SAFE’s panel discussion and find out who’s full of hot air, and which parties will help the animals.

Among many significant issues in the political landscape, animal welfare is of great importance to New Zealanders and the political parties’ policies on this differ greatly.

Despite claims that New Zealand has strong animal welfare laws, the facts speak for themselves: the laws do not protect animals' most basic needs, even ones as simple as being able to turn around. The present laws could be better named ‘farmer welfare laws.’

Find out what the political parties – from Labour, National, The Green Party through to Internet Mana have to say about the number-one animal welfare issue facing New Zealand currently: factory farming.

See candidates answer the tricky questions, and that all important one: whether their Party is going to take real action to ban the cruelty of factory farming.

SAFE is hosting a live debate between the major political parties on 3rd September and we want you to be a part of it.
